Cattle Jetty Drift

Site layout:
-End of spectacular reef, North Wall area.

Points of interest:
-Passenger & livestock carrying vessels were required to spend time here in Quarantine before they were allowed to unload -Threw all their rubbish overboard -Their rubbish has become our treasure; old plates, cups, bottles - many rare & valuable bottles have been collected here -Sometimes see dolphins here

Bottom composition: mainly sandy, some patches of sea grass
Water movement/currents: Best time to dive is after a storm as this stirs up the bottom revealing new treasures. Best dived on Flood Tide: From Old Cattle jetty over towards Portsea pier.
Hazards: Prone to strong current, heavy boat traffic .
