DIVER INSTRUCTION SERVICES

Well Mike ball has been booked!! We had a great turn out on the information night last Thursday and now it is time to start thinking about coming. The trip will be running 19^th to 26^th November 2009. These trips are usually very popular and we have booked the best time to go with the weather so come in and put your deposit down to secure your place on Spoil Sport. This really is a fantastic trip.

We have just completed the calendar for our dive school up to June 2009 Printable version here so if you have been considering doing any courses or just wanted to have a look what’s on at the bottom of the newsletter where most people don’t venture is a list of courses that will be running and there starting dates. Both shops will be running courses so if you are unable to make a date at one store have a look at the other to see if there is one that suits you better.

Well another wet and windy and cold weekend. No diving done this weekend done through the club.

Don’t forget if you want to go for a dive you can ring the shop and see what dives are going out over the weekend.

Stress and Rescue To all our divers out there that have not done there stress and rescue course yet, we are running our next one on the 2^nd September, so come one in and book yourself onto the course. Beneficial to improve diving awareness, ability and knowing your gear.

Advanced Open Water For all our Open Water Divers out there we are running an advanced open water course that includes specialties wreck, night, navigation and Nitrox starting on the 19^th August so if you want to move your diving to the next level come on and join us on this course.

Shore Dive And for all our shore divers out there we have scheduled one for 24^th August 10:00 meet at Williamstown back beach kinda just head down Battery Rd and we will be just near the Williamstown oval (near the water).

$520.00 includes 4 Nights accommodation bunk style linen supplied, 2 double boat dives, 1 single boat dive, 1 shore dive and 3 air fills. You will need to make your own way there. It takes aprox 11 ½ hour’s drive from Melbourne. If you were to fly, fly into Newcastle and it is a 45min drive from there both virgin and jet star fly there, hire cars are available from the airport and there is a bus service that runs from Newcastle to nelson bay that takes aprox 1 ½ hours. Our Saturday morning starts at 7:15am at the Pro Dive Shop in Nelson Bay. So if anyone is interested put your name down and book on. Follow this link to the flyer

Brrrr (11oC) the Viz is great the boats are not too crowded and it is definitely a great time to get out in the bay and dive. So don’t let the cold water stop you diving, we have gloves, hoods and shark skins available for purchase, to help keep you nice and toasty warm on those cool dives.
